Azerbaijani companies expand their activities in the Russian market

Azerbaijani companies continue to expand their activities with their products in the Russian market. The value of export contracts signed by local companies with one of Russia's leading retail chains, the X5 Group, is increasing every year.

With the support of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO, processed food worth USD 918.6 thousand was exported from Azerbaijan to the X5 Group, one of the largest retail chains with over 19,000 stores in Russia. In the current year alone, the value of exported products amounted to USD 880.6 thousand.

It should be noted that so far, AzNar, TAC-Gülüstan, Agro-Azərinvest, Zira Brightman, Berg Energy, Azərsun Holdinq, and Abşeron-Şərab have signed contracts with the network to export mineral and carbonated water, non-alcoholic energy drinks, canned vegetables, fruit juices, wine, and brandy. The above-mentioned products are sold in more than 3,000 chain stores, and Russian consumers buy more than 865,000 locally produced goods.

It should be recalled that as part of AZPROMO's export promotion activities, in May last year Azerbaijani companies presented their products at a food industry exhibition organized for employees of the X5 Group in Baku.
