Ambassador of India visits AZPROMO

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of implementing mutual trade and investment opportunities in the non-oil sector between Azerbaijan and India.

The Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO hosted a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Azerbaijan, Sridharan Madhusudhanan.

 

At the meeting, Yusif Abdullayev, Head of AZPROMO, informed the guests about the Agency's activities, support measures provided to entrepreneurs via the "single window" system, and export promotion mechanisms, including the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand and logistics subsidies. Noting the Agency's existing close partnership relations with various international organizations, especially the World Association of Investment Agencies (WAIPA), Yusif Abdullayev said that the Agency will participate in the WAIPA Steering Committee Elections for 2023-2025, scheduled to take place in November this year in New Delhi. This opportunity will be used to organize a visit of a delegation of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to India, aiming to expand cooperation between the two countries' business circles and explore new investment opportunities.

 

Ambassador Sridharan Madhusudhanan noted that India is one of Azerbaijan's primary trade partners and emphasized the significant potential for expanding mutual trade and economic partnership. The Ambassador highly assessed the prospects for cooperation in non-oil trade, investments, agriculture, and information technologies.

 

Speaking about the area of tourism, Ambassador Sridharan Madhusudhanan stressed that the number of Indian tourists visiting Azerbaijan is increasing. He emphasized the significance of this trend in terms of attracting Indian tourist entrepreneurs to engage in business initiatives within Azerbaijan.
