An exchange of views was held with Kazakhstan on increasing non-oil exports and expanding investment cooperation in the catering sector.
The Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO hosted a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel.
During the meeting, Yusif Abdullayev, head of AZPROMO, provided information about the Agency's activities, export promotion mechanisms, logistics subsidies, and other measures to be applied. It was emphasized that the Agency works to create "Eximbank" (export-import) instruments in our country. Yusif Abdullayev informed about export missions organized to Kazakhstan within the framework of export promotion and support measures provided to local entrepreneurs participating in exhibitions held with a single country stand in Kazakhstan. It was noted that the Agency's plans for the future include the establishment of AZPROMO representative offices in foreign countries to expand international cooperation.
Alim Bayel emphasized the rapidly developing trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and highly appreciated the prospects of increasing non-oil exports from our country to Kazakhstan. The ambassador informed about specific proposals made by Kazakhstan's shareholders within the framework of investment cooperation. The meeting participants discussed the investment project presented by the ambassador in the field of catering and agreed to work together on the exchange of information and identification of a suitable location.
