Baku hosted an Azerbaijan-Pakistan Business Forum jointly organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO and the Global Business Alliance. Apart from officials from both countries, the forum was attended by entrepreneurs representing industry, food, pharmaceutical, tourism, textile, and other sectors.
Addressing the Forum, the head of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev noted the importance of expanding ties between the business communities of Azerbaijan and Pakistan and informed about measures being implemented to promote the brand 'Made in Azerbaijan' as well as drew attention to the recent visit of Azerbaijan's business mission to Pakistan. Orhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), told about the support measures the Agency can provide to foreign entrepreneurs wishing to start a business and find local partners and implement joint projects with SMEs, or needing support in other areas.
Chairman of Global Business Alliance Mohammad Asif Noor and President of Pakistan-Azerbaijan Chamber of Economic Cooperation (PAKAZCHAM) Khurram Bhatti emphasized cooperation in trade, investment, and other areas as well as opportunities for Pakistani business people to participate in projects implemented in Azerbaijan and shared their views on the development of economic relations.
During the forum, the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Chamber of Economic Cooperation (PAKAZCHAM) and the Global Business Alliance signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The entrepreneurs held bilateral meetings during the forum.
